My Bucket List

I’ve always had an informal bucket list of sorts, which I kept documented in a sappy diary every year but I wasn’t properly devoted to getting it done.

After I watched the movie, The Bucket List, starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson, I started getting more serious about it.

The list has evolved over the years and continues to do so as I grow.  Whenever I reach a goal, I cross it out but keep it on the list for inspiration. So, here goes my bucket list in no particular order: –

  • Discover somewhere new every year –
    1. Barcelona, Spain, 2010.
    2. Malta, 2011.
    3. Larnaca, Cyprus, 2011.
    4. Geneva, Switzerland, 2011.
    5. Bangkok, Thailand, 2011.
    6. Montreux, Switzerland, 2011.
    7. Singapore, 2012.
    8. Zurich, Switzerland, 2013.
    9. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 2013.
    10. New York, USA, 2013.
    11. Riviera Maya, Mexico, 2013.
    12. Singapore, 2014.
    13. Maldives, 2015.
    14. Romania, 2015.
    15. Jordan 2016.
    16. Seychelles, 2017
    17. Italy, 2017
    18. Mauritius, 2018
    19. Madagascar, 2018
    20. Mozambique
    21. South Africa
    22. Namibia
    23. Zanzibar
    24. Learn how to ride a bicycle. Yes, you read right!
  • Learn how to ride a horse.
  • Learn how to swim.
  • Learn a new language, probably French, Spanish, Italian or Chinese.
  • Retire to an idyllic island where the only thing I do all day is read, write and eat chocolate.

My bucket list helps me to stay focused and reminds me to always strive for what makes me happy no matter how impossible it might seem although some would argue my list is pretty tame. What can I say? I’m a simple lady…:)
