2015 Vision Board

Here’s a picture of my 2015 vision board taken with my terrible photography skills. It’s not very artistic but that’s not my priority.

I just center myself, throw together what represents my plans for the year and slap a word of the year that ties it all together in the middle. The word of the year for 2015 is “focus.”

Business

I’m going to be focusing a lot of energy on growing my business to a great place that will provide me even more time to dedicate to my personal writing and philanthropy projects as well as travel plans.

Money

Since my income is now irregular, I need to become even better at tightening the wallet and restructuring financial plans.

Some months, I make good bank. Some months, I pray. Some months, I wonder what possessed me to do this. All part of self-employment.

Give Back

I hope I’m able to help more people this year and support more causes.

Publishing

I’m finalising and in the process of editing several of my projects. Once ready, I’m going to start working towards getting them into prominent online stores before the middle of the year.

Travel

Always part of the deal every year. I have a few countries floating in my head already. I also figure I should try a writer’s retreat somewhere secluded and quiet in Europe if I can.

Reading

I have a backlog of books I’ve been collecting since 2013. I just never had the time to read them. This is the year I hope to trim it down. I’m on a no-buy restriction until the pile is reduced.

Fitness

I’m a big fan of Beachbody, and Focus T25 and Insanity Max 30 are going to be my videos for the year thrown in with pole fitness.

Pole fitness requires an extreme amount of core strength and overall body dexterity. I’d like to raise my body’s discipline to that level. Plus it looks like fun.

Swimming

So my stubborn self put swimming back in there again. Now I’m on my own schedule, I have no reason for not making it to classes.

The picture on the boards is of Achieng Ajulu-Bushell, the first black woman to swim for Britain. She’s retired now but I enjoyed her story. More about her HERE.

Depressing Pic

Just as the picture says, don’t ask. It’s something personal that’s been eating at me and I need to conquer it.

I will go into more detail about the meaning before the end of 2015. Or maybe not. Anyway, if you saw 2014’s vision board, you’d have figured out what it’s all about by now.

There’s a bit of white space to the right, which I left there deliberately because I feel there’s something I’m missing. I have no idea what it is. I just feel it. Whenever it shows up, I’ll add it to the board and update the picture.

As always, I’ve kept my goals precise, measurable, and achievable. I’m really excited about the possibilities of 2015 and I’m throwing myself into the challenges with everything I’ve got.
